INTRODUCTION
Uromi JDPCI is passionately committed to promoting justice and peace, fostering meaningful development, and providing support to the less privileged. Our dedication is reflected in the wide array of initiatives we undertake, all aimed at advancing comprehensive human development through inclusive and engaging programmes that unite key stakeholders. In the Human Rights Education and Paralegal Scheme, Uromi JDPCI conducted quarterly learning sessions with adolescent human rights clubs in 26 secondary schools across five Local Government Areas (LGAs). We also organized quarterly meetings with paralegals and human rights advocates in 30 communities within the Edo Central Senatorial District. A closeout ceremony and stakeholders conference on inclusive human rights defense highlighted our commitment to this cause. Through the Migration and Countering Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) desk, Uromi JDPCI has executed numerous activities to reduce human trafficking in Edo State. These efforts included extensive anti-human trafficking campaigns in 10 secondary schools and 10 communities, forming child champion clubs in schools, and establishing child protection groups in communities. We conducted sensitization meetings with transporters, mapped and engaged influential actors, trained mentors and social protection officers, and developed advocacy strategies and self-protection manuals for community child champions and school clubs. In our Galvanize Action for Effective Trafficking In Persons Response Project, Uromi JDPCI organized community sensitization and public awareness rallies for the International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking. We held advocacy meetings with State government officials and cluster coaching sessions to enhance local capacity in trafficking response. Through the Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award, Uromi JDPCI facilitated community HIV testing, medication pickup, viral load sampling, and enhanced adherence counseling. We also organized Operation Triple Zero (OTZ) and gender norm sessions for adolescents living with HIV/AIDS, empowered female students, and supported caregivers through various programs. Our micro-credit scheme provided soft loans to small and medium-scale enterprises and active farmers within the five LGAs of the Edo Central Senatorial District, resulting in numerous success stories. Under the Correctional Center Apostolate, Uromi JDPCI conducted spiritual and counseling services for inmates and presented food items at the Ubiaja Correctional Center on behalf of the Bishop of Uromi Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Donatus Ogun OSA. In our Environment and Climate Change intervention, we raised awareness on waste management and tree planting. Finally, Uromi JDPCI conducted sensitization campaigns in parishes to strengthen JDPC activities at the parish level, promoting justice, development, and peaceful co-existence within the parishes and the broader community
