INTRODUCTION
Aligned with the Uromi Justice Development Peace and Caritas Initiatives (Uromi JDPCI) mission to contribute to a society where people coexist in peace,Uromi JDPCI implemented various interventions during this period. These activities were in harmony with the mission of promoting integral human development through the motivation and participatory actions involving relevant stakeholders. The goal was to advocate for policy reforms, empower individuals, and enhance human dignity for a more meaningful existence. In the Human Rights Education and Paralegal Scheme project, Uromi JDPCI conducted quarterly learning sessions with adolescent human rights clubs in 26 secondary schools across the 5 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Edo Central Senatorial District. Quarterly meetings with Paralegals and Human Rights Advocates were also organized with the representatives of 30 communities within the Edo Central Senatorial District. Additionally, Uromi JDPCI commemorated the 2023 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and the 2023 World Human Rights Day. Within the Migration and Countering Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) desk, Uromi JDPCI engaged in advocacy visits with relevant stakeholders, held a Project Inception Meeting, and mapped out target communities and schools for the implementation of the AACTING project. In the same vein, Uromi JDPCI conducted activities such as M P Social Dialogue and Interfaith Forums, Advocacy Engagement Meetings with the Chairman of Esan North East Local Government Area, Cluster coaching sessions, Learning Sessions, and Trainingsunder the Galvanize Action for Effective Trafficking in Persons Response project. Through its Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award, Uromi JDPCI facilitated HIV testing, screening, and the pickup of ART drugs, along with Enhanced Adherence Counselling (EAC). The Uromi JDPCI also organized Operation Triple Zero (OTZ) club sessions and gender norm sessions for Adolescents Living with HIV/AIDS. Bi-monthly review meetings with Community/Facility Case Managers were part of the initiatives. Furthermore, Uromi JDPCI observed the 2023 World AIDS Day. Uromi JDPCI sustained its micro-credit empowerment scheme by providing soft loans to Small and Medium Scale enterprises and active farmers within the 5 Local Government Areas of the Edo Central Senatorial District to boost their businesses and farms. Under the Correctional Center Apostolate, Uromi JDPCI celebrated Christmas Party with Inmates in Ubiaja Correctional Center. Finally, the organization conducted sensitization campaigns in parishes to reinforce JDPC activities at the parish levels. The aim was to foster collaboration in promoting justice, meaningful development, and peaceful co-existence, both within the parishes and the broader community
