INTRODUCTION
Uromi Justice Development Peace and Caritas Initiatives sustained developmental effort across its thematic areas to contribute to peaceful coexistence, better information sharing and improved livelihood in the five Local Government Areas of Edo Central Senatorial District. Uromi JDPCI provided another round of capacity building for the Paralegals and human rights advocates in 26 communities across the five LGAs. The training was on Gender Equality and Gender Based Violence. Uromi JDPCI also facilitated quarterly meeting of paralegals to allow for experience sharing and shared learning. This was to strengthen the effort for the development of synergy and mobilization of local resources for effective response to human rights promotion in the selected communities across the five LGAs. Uromi JDPCI also supported forty three beneficiaries in the Don’t Pay With Your Life project with One Hundred Thousand Naira each to set up Income Generating Activities. Monitoring visits were also conducted to beneficiaries in previous project while both beneficiaries were engaged in discussion on Children’s personality with a bid to improve their capacity for improved caregiving which would reduce susceptibility to human trafficking and irregular migration. Uromi JDPCI further engaged in monitoring visit to beneficiaries of the SMAT-P project with a view to determine achievements of the project which was implemented to curb the ugly trend of human trafficking and irregular migration in Edo Central Senatorial District. The Micro Credit desk also sustained the empowerment drive with the provision of support to beneficiaries in groups across communities in Edo Central Senatorial District.
